The room I got was well-kept and tastefully decorated, complete with coffee, hot chocolate plus a comfy bed, loved it. Location: the hotel was close to the pub.

We really got great value for our money at the lovely Chequers Inn in York. The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed, including a wide variety of hot beverages. The breakfast experience could have been improved with a more diverse vegetarian option, as it mainly consisted of beans, eggs, and mushrooms.

the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. They were helpful and accommodating throughout our visit. the highlight was the excellent food, such as the Chicken with Bacon, Mash & Green Beans with a delicious Diane Sauce, and the Fish and Chips, which were both excellent choices. We highly recommend this inn to everyone looking for a great dining experience and warm hospitality. Cons: Nothing, all great! 👍🏼.
