We really got great value for our money at the lovely Chequers Inn in York. The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed, including a wide variety of hot beverages. The location in a quiet and friendly village was absolutely stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and accommodate our needs.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with a more diverse vegetarian option, as it mainly consisted of beans, eggs, and mushrooms.

the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. They were helpful and accommodating throughout our visit. the highlight was the excellent food, such as the Chicken with Bacon, Mash & Green Beans with a delicious Diane Sauce, and the Fish and Chips, which were both excellent choices. We highly recommend this inn to everyone looking for a great dining experience and warm hospitality. Cons: Nothing, all great! 👍🏼.

This country pub is nestled in a pretty area and offers a peaceful escape. the rooms are spacious and clean, ensuring a restful night's sleep. the friendly staff goes above and beyond to accommodate guests' needs, even providing a packed lunch for those on the go. the breakfast menu offers a variety of tasty options to suit different tastes. There is also a convenient on-site parking for motorbikes.

The evening food options may not be as impressive, with some dishes being overpriced and disappointing in taste.

The village where we stayed was quiet and pretty, and we found a park and ride facility nearby which made getting around easy and affordable. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated their helpful and positive attitude. the breakfast was also very good and had a lot of options to suit different tastes.

We found that our room was not as comfortable as we would have liked. the bed was not very comfortable and we had trouble sleeping at night.

Cute inn with nice decor, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. The bed was super comfy and the room had a lovely drinks and snacks basket. The restaurant served high-quality home-cooked food, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

The breakfast was a letdown as it was served too late. I ended up eating dry cereal with no coffee or light in a poorly-lit room.
